Does anyone here know about ghost writing?
I've been asked to ghost write an autobiographical book for this 68-year-old country singer about her time in the spotlight 35 years ago. She's already got 90,000 words, all she needs is someone to turn it into a story that flows. The publisher said find a professional journalist. We met when I wrote a story about her as an herbalist for the newspaper, where I work. She said she liked my story telling style, so she asked me to tell her story.

I've always said I wanted to write books. I know that I don't want to stay in the meat-grinding world of journalism for the rest of my life. So I'm thinking this could be a good opportunity for me to expand my expertise of story telling to book writing.

Has anyone ever been a ghost writer? Any advise?

I can't help either, but it sounds like a fascinating opportunity!

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it (when it's not frustrating you, that is). :)
