first of all i dont want to try and force him to do anything hes opposed to but ive been flirting with the idea for so long. My husband used to have a dready hawk back in high school, well at least a partially dready hawk and it was so so so adorable, he hates his hair and never can find anything he wants to do with it so i want to convince him to do dreads, i think he might but i dont think his job would appreciate it. we are going to be moving soon anyway do any of you guys know electronics technicians with dreads?

also his hair is pretty oily you think it would dread naturally? mine are backcombed so i really wanna compare and his hair is short now

and what are some tips on convincing him this is a great idea and he should go for it?
    thanks!:p

i don't know, it's hard to talk someone into dreads, it's almost like a life-change.

dude... if he's had them before, he knows what it's like, and he'll want them if he wants them, and not if he doesn't. nothing you can do will convince him either way... and if you do, it won't be authentically him, and he'll end up resenting you for coercing him into things.

im an electrician with dreads, well an almost qualified electrician with dreads.... I would say get a job first then test the water, see if they approve.... my experience is that most employers cant see past the dreads, I have expereince of that at the moment.... need a new job and having no luckin my trade....if he wants to do it then encourage him.... if not then it was a good idea lol

just ask him..i know you get frustrated with your hair alot..what do u think about letting it dreasd again? i know i'd love it but only if yopu'd want to
let him know you'd like it but leave it totaly up to him

i already said i wasnt going to try and force him, and i just dont see anything wrong with a little diplomacy either, married couples are always trying to convince each other to do things they really dont wanna do.

i asked him today and he said he didnt like the way really tall people looked with long hair, (hes very tall) i honestly dont get it

but anyway its all in fun, id still like to trick him into doing it somehow.

yeah, like mow the lawn or do the dishes...lol... growing dreadlocks is a pretty personal decision and does not fall into the category of marriage "diplomacy" as you call it :D
