It is somewhat of an enigma, this computer land. A veritable maze of procrastination. There is clearly and plainly no destination. But it doesn't matter, all that matters is the journey. Spinning and weaving through a digital wonderland. Somewhere in here is the elusive rabbit. A white angel beyond the horizon. His flickering pocketwatch of system time. Time in its essence is being destroyed here. We have unleased a monster in this. Cyberspace grows and consumes. The waking breaths of a sleeping god. No more a wonderland, no more a mystery. Already it has taken its tithe. Our currency and communication. The souls of a generation. Where is the line that marks the border. The looking glass of pixels. Somewhere within the garden waits. Eat or drink or click me. --- When I wrote it I translated it into binary, but I'll leave that up to you if you want to see it like that (interesting statement, but makes the post a bit long).
I love stuff like this... reminds me of William Gibbons and the whole cyber punk genre, except it's poetry, and so cool!
Agree with fulm-ahh...coolio cyber punk My favorite lines were "A veritable maze of procrastination. " So true! and "Time in its essence is being destroyed here" Again I've noticed whenever I get online I never pay attention to what time it is, it's like sleeping. You think you've only been online for a few minutes when it turns out to be a whole hour.
Woohoo!! positive feedback. To tell the truth, cyberpunk wasn't in my mind at all when I wrote this, it was mainly inspired by a conversation a friend and I had at a rave. Basically it was the internet/Alice in Wonderland.
Pale akashic reflection, dualism of 0 and 1, defining the template of what has always been. Yet this unspoken language needs such proding and promptings, before ready to fly out of the static nest of electrical pulses, into the waiting etheric arms of the years to come.
