Do the police ever get suspects in a room and go through the drama of finding the culprit like: Poirot, Miss Marple and Diagnosis Murder?

In murder mysteries and the like the presumed suspects are all brought together and the guilty party is eventually found.
I was just wondering if this really occured.

Anyone remember that game kids used to play , called Murder in the Dark?

I've fancied playing it again at a party. But really mudering someone would be fun.
( except for the one being murdered , obviously...!): )

PS Miss marple and the like only do that stuff to find out who*really* did it.
Coppers couldnt give a fuck- they just want to convict someone..
( cue abuse from the *undercover* cops here: ) )
