Press Release to Bob Barr’s Campaign. By Robert T Hughes.

Obama’s energy Plan is a Sham. McCain’s is wholly inadequate. Bob Barr not only has a solid energy plan, but would get better results too. Obama’s plan goes like this: he wants to build wind, a ‘Manhattan’ Project for alternative fuel for cars, and give tax rebates to families. Oh, and if you missed it he also want to put in economy wide limits on what can traded from foreign countries, theoretically to get more hybrids on the road. Wind? It’s happening anyway, has been for half a decade, every year the number of wind farms newly created are increasing. Exponentially. Why? Wind just got cheaper than coal, in the last couple years. A Manhattan project? 150 billion dollars, ten years to implement, twenty years to fulfill vehicle replacement. But Obama likes to say drilling for oil will take 5-10 years [actually the Corp says two, the US government say 3-5], it’s better than 15-30 years. Tax rebates do not address the problem-they just make markets fluctuate rabidly. And lastly, don’t forget, most of the hybrids come from overseas.

I feel insulted just talking about McCain, his policy is just too little, and symptomatic of too many years of congressional leadership- not an insult to anyone, and compromised to the point of being ineffective. Off shore drilling, with reservations, if states agree, when the oil rigs are so far out you don’t get within eight miles of the state. Oh, let’s see; invest in ethanol-see if you know ethanol you know it makes our gasoline more expensive, it’s blatant lobbying. Nuclear power plants, yeah, everyone wants one of them, even Iran, after all, you don’t see anyone saying that nuclear energy is bad anymore do you? As for the rest of his plan-oh yeah, he doesn’t have any more plan.

Well, I would look at Barr, but I’m not sure that I have the room. He wants wind-after all, so does the market. He wants off-shore drilling, without reserve, plus domestic drilling (that could add nearly 200% more than offshore drilling-or more, we don’t know). Yeah, we want fuel efficient cars, and that’s why we won’t be bailing out Detroit. Natural Gas, one of the most commonly used alternative fuels for cars will boost with new drill sites. Nuclear Power? Ha, with deregulation being the major platform, he may be the only one to do it. Hey, and you know what’s funny? I think I might be missing something.

My name is Robert Hughes, yeah, I believe in Civil Rights, and I think the Crimes are terrible, but neither can I vote on that alone, nor get other people vote about them. I play a political game, that means I look at the top issues: Energy, War, Medical, and Economics. Civil rights and evil perpetuated is about number five—and you are very well established in that regard. I think Barr probably not only has a better policy in every regard, but can also prove that point—TO THE VOTER. Six weeks left. Define Insanity.

I saw a poll in a political communication journal I read in the University of North Carolina, percent of people interested in politics 25%, number of people interested in the economy 80%, number of people interested in energy and medical 50% and 60%, let me hypothosi, percent that say liberty is something they can watch a documentary on? Less than ten. About what you poll now.

This Document has not been spell checked or checked for editing mistakes. Neither has your Campaign.

One last thing. I read every news article, see every video, and read nearly every opinion piece and comment made about Barr. And I barely know the immigration policy-Latinos are about 5% of the vote (or 14%).

    With Love.

very good post. Finally, someone takes the time to inform themselves to see beyond the polarizing "Obama this, McCain that" mundane standpoint... Someone finally understands the depth of the problems facing this country. I wish there were more of you. Stick around for a while... please!
