I would loooove to have dreads in my hair but I don't have any friends. :( Honestly, I don't have any friends:( We're not from around here. my husband is on board with it but he doesn't have the patience to work with me. Is there anyone near orlando with a couple of friends that wanna get together for a party? I would be eternally grateful!

Can't you manage yourself? Surely you could do the sides at least, and then get your husband to do the back, even if he only does a bit each night if he can't cope.

why not just let them happen naturaly?
i had a freind who asked a few dozen freinds for help then we went to a garthering together..there she asked dozens of dreads several saidf thery'd help but none gotr around to it.. the whole time there she stopped combing, washed it just twice iwith bronners in the srewam ind in just 2 - 3 weeks had several dreads started she left em alone and a few months later had a head full of beautiful natural dreads..

my suggestion is always start letting them grow naturaly while u try finding help if it takes awhile to find help thats ok when you got help check the progress and then decide if u even need to do anything or just let it do what its doing

Yeah! I went ahead and just sectioned some groups and twisted them. It has been a few days of scrubbing my scalp with a bar of soap. My hair is pretty much ready! It was hard to get the sections since it was almost one big knot. I fixed them with a few small bands and scrubbed it with the soap one more time. When it dried I twisted each one and kinda played with it since it was all fat, I found a fabulous bead for it as well!! I love it! I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how!!!

Alchemy (it's a salon) will help you separate and backcomb for $50/hr.
