I've just discovered the wonders of charcoal and drew these An ethiopian tribal lady with a huuge lip plate. Brian May <3
aw thanks guys Yeah, I usually just draw with pencil and I haven't really drawn that much lately (not that I drew much to begin with tbh), I think I got bored. Bored or lazy, took loads more photographs instead. Then found this art set that I got given for christmas last year and it had some charcoal pencils in so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's rekindled my motivation to draw! I need to try some more with different techniques.. I'm thinking charcoal needs a bit of time to work out how to get the best out of it. Here's the link to my deviantART account if you're interested in some of the pencil stuff http://bhoomi.deviantart.com/
i love teh look of charcoal.. it's so messy to work with, but the contrast you get... *sigh* i need to bust out my art stuff...
Don't get me wrong here, I absolutaly LOVE your work... But the huge lip lady freaks me out. Nice work though =] eace:
I thought that lip plates were in the bottom lip. That's gotta be hard to live with. Great job on the art!!!
If you like charcoal, you should deffinitley try pastel, it's awesome as well. I like your work very much.
Thanks everyone Got a couple more to put up soon. ShanaBanana, yeah, that one is in the bottom lip.. it does look a little like it's in the top because it's so stretched out I think. I have seen a few where they have them in a top and bottom lip at the same time.
