But to be fair....I was smoking as well, not a good combo for me.

In fact I remember one time, someone got me drinking vodka and water (fuckin' nasty) and I went out to smoke a joint....Apparently I lost all colour, I had to lie down and my heart was going so fast, I thought I was going to die....eventually I puked my guts out and then felt much better.

Ah, good times.

No, its not. But it is complete bullshit. Too much alcohol will make you sick, not in a certain order.

 

i haven't found nething yet that makes me throw up on the spot ill drink nething alcoholic u throw at me but 3 40's and im sleepin on the toilet lol

 

actually from my experience the "beer before liquor, never been sicker, liquor before beer, you're in the clear" rule is completely true. everyone i know agrees. i think it has to do with the carbonation in the beer, but then again i have no reason to believe that. kinda just made it up...

 

Tequilla makes me sooo sick. I hate it.

but i have some i take issue with....

likely candidates are first and foremost white rum and cachaca. also i have trouble drinking spiced rum. i think most vodkas are pretty nasty. cheap liquors of most kinds, but particularly cheap tequila or whiskies

 

if you drink often enough in wierd enough combinations, it stops bothering you quickly enough. the trick is just pacing yourself.

i can mix it up however i want in terms of beer, liquor, wine, mixed drinks and cocktails....

tonight i stopped by the bar and i had a shot of something which wasn't cuervo (i asked for cuervo), a pilsner urquell, a shot of cuervo, an old rasputin imperial stout, and then two pints of PBR, then a shot.

Anyone ever had St. Pete's? It was really skunky and just god awful, I couldn't finish it and I rarely turn my back on drinks.

I think it was St. Peter's Organic Ale or something, I got it in a cooler once with a bunch of underground beers, most of which weren't bad.

 

i find that i can drink anything that's not fizzy and be fine, or anything thats fizzy and be fine, but never mix them. the only thing i can mix is whisky with fizzy.

if i drink any other spirit or wine or liquer, i can't drink cider or beer cos i'll eventually just be sick. and if i drink the beer etc first, and then add vodka to it, say, then am gonna pass out.

but i find that if i stick to non-fizzy, or just fizzy, all night(/day lol), then am fine.
UNTIL I LIE DOWN.
i can drink 12 hours straight, and drink myself sober (as they say), but if i lie down, al just be sick. and thats not good, cos if i lie on my back, i'm a dead man if no-one's around to help the bum bring it up in the bucket or whatever :S

which was passbly good but not amazing. certainly not disgusting.

my guess: you either ate or drank something right before drinking the beer that it ruined the taste for you.

 

yesterday i had a bottle of red wine followed by a bomber or sierra nevada:cheers2:

course i paced myself. i wasn't getting trashed or anything.

took me probably 4 hours to drink all the wine up.

winee & beer just give me a head ache as soon as it touches my lips.

i'm a vodka lass myself, its pritty much al i drink spirit wise. i have spewed on it plenty of times & still its pritty much all i drink. i drink it with fresh oj, apple juice or cranberry.

the only drink i wont touch is cherry wisniowka, its a cherry vodka drink from poland, very strong. i drink half a bottle of it when i was 16 & eneded up spewing on my sisters cream carpet. it sained it red & she went mad at me. i cant stand anything cherry flavoured now, i gag just at the smell.

i also cant drink vodka with coke, i dont know why, just the smell make me feel sick. i like vodka & i like coke i just dont know why i dont like the two.
