Well, it will be for another 2 weeks or so.... (I borrowed my friends camera, it really does this sunset no justice.)
The beautiful NW (States) Eugene, Oregon. I go to that particular spot to play guitar, meditate, write songs and read. It's a very peaceful place, very nice winds, gentle sun etc....I took these last night, spent a solid 3 hours there.
nice!!! enjoy yuor last two weeks there. and althuogh the pictures may not do the sunset justice, they do capture the atmosphere somewhat: serene, blissful, relaxing...simply a mellow place to do exactly it is you've been doing
Some shots that I didn't take to give you a better ideal of the area. Here's an overview shot of where I was (I don't think this pic is good): Winter I really wish I could get some pics of the fall in action....as in the trees and colors, because I feel that's the most beautiful time of year here. I'll try to take more pics of around Eugene before I leave...it'd be nice to have em anyways.
Here's a place called "Baldy". I use to trek here at least once a day, usually with one of my close friends, sometimes we'd have random people we knew come along too. Here's the base of the trail Trail near the top Just before the top Trail on the top (We call that tree "Young man tree", we believe it is our friend "Old man tree's" son in spirit) (Old man tree was a dead tree that we sat on and became one with during a mushie adventure, however he's like 100 miles away)
Baldy continued..... A close up of "Young man tree". I've watched the leaves change on this tree for many seasons..... We spent nearly 2 hours sitting at the top of it after ingesting some nice NW closed cap cabenzies (mushrooms) one night...it was amazing....and to this day I have no ideal how neither of us got hurt...we were literally climbing like monkeys on very unstable/weak limbs at the top. Here's where I/we always sit and overlook most of the city of Eugene and it's surrounding southern area. (You can see that backpack in the bottom center of the pic...that's where we sit) Oh and that big tree to the left, we call her "Mother tree". She's provided me with "shelter" from the elements (rain/wind) many a time. Looking out from where we sit (looking mostly to the right). Yes, I do realize we have many names for certain trees.....we just really seem to have strong connections with the nature that surrounds our "hang outs". I should try to take a picture of "Big tree" before I leave too. Big tree is probably the most chill tree of all.
