Citric/ascorbic acid

    When doing the mescaline citrate extraction can ascorbic acid be used in place of citric acid. I know they are close but are not the same thing... but are they interchangeable?

    with a pH around 2.1 - 2.5, yeah..I'd say so

    the bonus of ascorbic acid is its antioxidant properties, it's a good preservative; something that's relevant to psilocin a/b extractions, where oxidation tends to degrade the final product.
