got a prescrip for tylenol 3

I just took 4 of these, totaling 120mg of codeine. I haven't done codeine before but last night I had two Percocet (10mg Oxycodone) that I couldn't feel after an hour and a half. I don't know if the Percs ever actually kicked in before I went to sleep but I know my mouth still hurt (Wisdom teeth, got numerous painkillers from doctor shopping). If my opiate tolerance is high enough to not get any effects off of 10mg Oxy, will I feel 120mg Codeine? Sorry for thread jacking.

 

Nah. I would say no.
Chances are that I'm probably right.
But, I could be wrong cause codeine is a drug that has everything to do with metabolism.

120mg Caffeine
240mg Codeine
2400mg Acetaminophen (unhealthy...)
I do have a nice buzz though, The caffeine is really nice in these, it fights away the drowsiness. I feel pretty good, not near as good as a handful of Percs, but yeah.

To the OP- What I do with any drug I'm newly exposed to, is I take about one "dose" of whatever it is, and work my way up from there. Research the danger potential and then build up to where you find what a good amount is for you to have fun with. Be safe as always. I'd say start with two, just to see if you have any extreme adverse reactions. See where that puts you, and see if thats where your desired effects lie. Then, If it isn't enough, take two more. Remember, 4000mg of Acetaminophen a day (theres like 300 in each) is the danger zone. That does vary though from person to person.

 

Yeah I wouldn't recommend taking 2400mg APAP very often.
Livers get beat up enough

dude i have a solution for you. find out how much codeine is in the individual pill, and then decide a dosage that would be good for you. Then, do a cold water extraction on the pills to get the tylenol out, so that all you consume is the codeine. its a very simple process, and you wont damage your liver

Only do a CWE if you have a decent amount of pills, because you DO lose some of the product (codeine) in the process, even if you do it perfectly.

2400mg of APAP isn't that high, there are tons of people who take 3k every single day because they are prescribed to it (Percocets being a main contributor in the massive ingestion of APAP daily) with no problems. It is relatively safe, but around the 4k mark is where you should either do a CWE, or do it ONLY when necessary.

Anything less then 4 grams a day isn't too unhealthy.

 

Also, for the people who couldn't ell what the new shit I got in the pic they are vic's (I think the strongest ones; 7.5 hydrocodone and 500 acetametaphine)

 

This is very true. Many people ingest that much APAP every single day through a prescription that their doctor is aware of. But, these people also take care of their liver by not partying, drinking, ect...

3k a day isn't so much a problem... but if you start drinking on top of that much APAP, you will likely destroy your poor liver.

But with many people here being psychonauts or just people who love to party, people need to be aware that if they're taking that much APAP/day they shouldn't fuck around with much else, especially drinking.

I never heard of 15mg hydros, they dont do shit to me anyways so I would even bother, personally.

 

Same here. I am really surprised they don't have Hydrocodone only drugs out there yet. Like roxicodone, oxycontin for Oxycodone...but nothing for Hydrocodone.

I just had this convo with my pharmacist friend.
And I have the answers!

Hydro is always combined with these non-controlled drugs for several reasons.
1) Having Oxy as the main MAJOR pain reliever makes prescribing easier.
2) There is a synergy with the other drug that acts therapeutically.
3) Having the other drug limits the amount of active opiate ingredient which leads to less abuse, un-wanted/safe side-effects.
4) As long as Hydro is grouped with one of the non-controlled drugs and is LESS than 15mg it stays a CIII. Which is probably one of the MAIN reasons. Refills are important.

And there are Hydrocodone only pills, just not available in the US.

 

Drinking with APAP is very iffy (at high doses) and potentially awful.
I'd just wait 24 hours.

LSD would have no interactions that I know of.

 

I was gonna say the same thing. Basically, number 3 is the main reason. vicodin is already widely abused, if they made 40mg hydrocodone-only pills, imagine the abuse potential. eventhough oxy is more potent and more addicting than hydro, hydro is still more abused overall by more people.

 

#4 is the main reason, I just asked my friend who is a pharmacist. A lot of doctor's don't like prescribing CII's, so a pain medication that works well, and is a CIII is like a godsend to scared doctor's.

The only reason Hydro is abused more by teenagers is because it easier to acquire. It's easier to get prescribed, and it's easier to find on the street most of the time, because it's a more common prescription.

Oxycodone is much more euphoric, and stronger, so even if Hydro only pills were available, Oxycodone would still reign supreme as the abused medication.
