I'm on 300mg of Lyrica right now. Iss wonferdul! I'm wasted. If I have a single drink (beer, wine, liquor) while on 300mg or more - WOW!!! 450mg + one beer disabled my ability to walk and talk properly. I don't intend to ever take a dose higher than 450mg, but I've read some interesting reports from people who have. Peacelove, Aldousage
That is a very high dosage. Please be careful with it. I've read some bad feedback about such high doses. If take 50mg I can't get up in the morning so I don't take it unless absolutely necessary.
I've never taken more than 1050mg. With a glass of wine, that dosage was WAY over the top. It's been clinically tested at 600mg with no serious adverse effects, and so far, there have been no documented cases of overdose. In fact, no one knows what an overdose of pregabalin would be like. Regardless, I do appreciate your concern, Peanuts. It paints you as the sort of man (I'm guessing at your gender here) who sincerely cares about the welfare of strangers. That's much more important to me than is your understanding of this particular chemical. I doubt I'll ever dose as high as 1050mg again, but 450-600mg has become a fairly standard range for me lately (despite stating in my last post that I didn't intend to ever dose more than 450mg). Thanks for your comment. I am a female. I guess the only thing you'd hear for an overdose is the patient has entirely no pain and is limp all over. lol
I have taken Lyrica for my Fibromyalgia. Works well..but yeah dosage is important and don't mix with too many things...esp alcohol.
I have not taken it, but a friend of mine took it for epilepsy. She had an allergic reaction, and her daughter had to call 911. She was screaming in the background, and unable to speak. She nearly died from it. She has since passed away, but it was a complication of epilespy and not the medication.
