I got a job

I'm working at the French school. I didn't tell them I was gonna quit in a couple weeks to go spend 3 weeks or a month in the U.S though. Don't care. I just needed something to do, so I got something to do. They'll probably give me the job back when I get back - to quit again a couple months later anyways to get back to school - cause if they hired me that easily.. they're probably desperate.. and even if they don't hire me back, I'll just get another job.. when I want, I can. There's all these bars around here.. though bartending again sounds.. ugh dunno..

I'm just so incredibly bored with my life, you have no idea. Thank god we at least moved - like did something new and fresh.. although it's a pain to move again..

I confess though that I feel bad for places that go through all that training and the people bail out on though, to tell you the truth.

 

same here. i'm kind of doing the same thing though; sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get by...


i would at least try to take the 3 weeks off without actually quitting. if you work for a month and then walk out, there's no way they'll hire back when you return. if you just tell them you're leaving for a bit but would like to come back, they may allow it assuming you were a good worker while there.

 

Maybe I can just take off.. it's just a secretary job.. helping the advisor or whatever he's called.. you know the guy that guides kids.. there's no real training, I have done secretary jobs before.. it'll take a couple days to adjust.. I start tomorrow.

 

I'm also gonna be a French tutor to the Spanish kids going to the school and English tutor

i can't say for sure; taking off a month after only working for a month is a pretty big deal. but if you do a good job while you're there i'd say you have a decent chance of getting away with it anyway.

Cool, I am sure they will take ya back but hell why go back just stay in the US. Immiration is to dumb to realize your here.

 

I know, I considered it, but I will have to go back to take care of my VISA stuff.. and I gotta do that here, in Spain, deal with the embassy.. besides I don't wanna spend xmas away from my house cause my sister from Paris is gonna come and I never see her!
