Yeah, I know there is a Politics forum but this is a concern that has particular concern for any of us who are out of the white Christian norm. I hope that all of you who are eleigble to vote are keeping yourselves well informed regarding this election. If you are underage 18 you can still volunteer and work for candidates.

Specifically, sarah palin belongs to a brand of christianity that believes being Gay can be cured. She has no use for Gay rights, she has no use for Gay people, she has no use for people of color. Unfortunately there is a large element of the American public who find her crude, backward veiwpoint entertaining.

At age 62, I have never been so concerned about an election. Bush/cheney has set this country up for a return to the dark ages and now comes mccain/palin to finish us off.

I don't know that I'm even looking for a comment here...I'm just expressing a deep seated fear that our country is a at a turning point that cannot be ignored. Please inform yourselves and vote.

I am not in the USA or am now a US citizen but I personly thinck that if palen gets predensentsey then the us will just go down the bible bashing white middle aged cristen root. - E.g. agensed gays, blacks etc and posisable simmler to what happend in UK when thatcher was PM - and half the country was for and half wanted her out.

    - There for - Obama for president.

I agree. I'm almost more afraid now that Palin is on the ticket because she's even worse than McCain in almost every way. She's a horrible person and I truly cannot fathom what's going to happen when McCain inevitably dies in office.

You and me both infinito, she's as vicious and hate-filled as chenney plus she's even more of a wingnut religiofreak. For the sake of our country I hope all of you who are eligible to vote will do so. We as a people need to take back America from the immoral right wing of the republican party. While I've never been a republican I can at least remember when it was a party of honest people whose ideolgy was different than mine. I can live with that but these freaks like bush chenney and now palin really scare me. McCain doesn't really count cause like infinito said he's gonna die off and leave us stuck with palin if he gets elected

What's sad is that, while I don't agree with everything he did, McCain used to be about the best brand of Republican there was. Sure, he was overly traditional and wasn't too into helping the poor, but he wasn't an idiot. I don't know what the fuck happened to him, but it's pretty ridiculous. Anyway, go out and vote!

I get really pissed off that my parents say they love and support my being gay, yet also think palin is the greatest republican to live... Well, other than Reagan and Nixon. Although I love her hair, and think she is quite hilariously stupid, I'm also terrified that I'll have to live under her rule. She is a sick woman, and may as well get a sex change for her lack of women's rights.

i don't like either option Palin/McCain or Obama. i think McCain would be slightly better since he is more experienced and Palin won't have much importance in the government anyway she'll just be a vice presidential image but i'm not going to vote for either candidate. i don't support either of them.

    B. Hussein Obama is very dangerous for our great country.
Think about this before voting: he's a liberal communist and a elitist, muslim ,stands with fanatical pastors and a atheist. He also wants to take our guns ,totally disarm us so we can't protect our families! And if he'll be better then Bush then we'll never have another white prez.McCain is our only choice.

You are completly out of reality, a racist and a dupe of right wing politics. You call him a Muslim and an atheist...how does that work? Is he an elitist because as a black kid from the middle class he educated himself? You want mccain/palin, which will soon be president palin, because mccain is statistically likely to die? Mccain and more of the politics of greed and pointless war. Mccain who is still pissed that we left Viet Nam and didn't declare "Mission Accomplished"
ccain who is now a bitter old man that wants to continue sending young people to face pointless death. A man who voted 90% of the time with bush...bush who violated our rights and our constitution.

This place is called Hip forums because it is hoped people who use the place will be somewhat enlightened...you got a lot of learning to do.

I think the republican swiftboat mentality is at it again. Remember the lies and distortions from the 2000 & 2004 elections. What better proof do you need to avoid mccain than to look where republicans have lead us now. In eight short years we as a nation are financially bankrupt, mired in a pointless war and scorned by other nations. The focus of wealth has greatly shifted so that the middle class has been squeezed into smaller numbers, the poor and homeless are greatly increasing and the rich are enjoying life as never before. Forget the crap you find on the net, use common sense and your own ability to observe. Who brought the US to this condition...g w bush
...mccain voted with bush in 90% of the time. Some Maverick, he is just another bush clone and I've had enough of that shit. Since you're posting in a Gay forum, do you have any idea of what palins attitudes are toward Gay people...the classic bible thumper mentality sinners who choose the gay lifestyle and are doomed to hell. you want more of the same you go right ahead a vote for mccain/palin. It's your choice.

Look,I also think that being gay it's a choice but I don't judge no one for it's actions.only God has the right to judge, not me.And don't forget that since 2006 the dems are the maj in the Congress.
