I had something happen to me at the supermarket today. We were buying anise extract. The cashier started asking rude questions, including whether we were running a drug lab. Anise extract is not used for that, is it?
OK, but what I hate is someone who assumes too much. It seems that the procedure for doing this is rather obscure anyway.
We were using it as flavoring for Greek-style cookies. That cashier is just making it worse for herself by acting the way she did. I am not the only one who had rude questions asked about the anise. Yesterday, the same cashier rudely questioned another customer about some cold medicine (DXM) she was buying.
yes i beleive that the casheer is being rediculos i doubt that she will have that same attitude once 2 or 3 complaints have ben made. realy if shes that inquisitive i would have no doubt that she herself is probably a complete substance abuser and would most likely be fired if a drug test were brought apon her.
you can only beat the test if given atleast a few hours notice. some companys will bring someone into the building and get the sample from you on site without you even knowing its going to happen in that case just about anyone is fucked.
you should absolutely put in a complaint about that cashier. she has no right to question people's purchases like that.... hell, does she inquire about proper condom useage too?
I put a complaint in. I was told that it was my word against hers; and I needed proof. Also, I found out that they don't do random drug testing and notice is given beforehand (couldn't find out the time-frame).
LOL, well, your the customer, and your word holds more weight than hers even if your a manager. Go back in there with an attitude, and let them know that it did happen wether it is believed or not, and that you seen it happen to others. If you visit this story regularly and then threaten to never shop there again most liekly the one in charge will take some action to fix the situation (such as, making that cashier apologize...)
I would complain to the managment. I hate nothing more than people who play Jr. DEA agent. Once, when I was pregnant with one of my kids, I had a sinus infection and was buying some OTC sudafed. The womyn at the check out grabbed it and said, "Oh, no, you can't take this when you are pregnant! It is dangerous for your baby!" My dh almost blew a gasket. He told her my doctor had told me to get the sudafed (he had) and that it was NONE of her fucking business in the second place.
I would call the store manager. If he/she won't help, ask politely for their name and the name & number of their district manager...that ends almost any complaint process in retail. BTW, Sudafed is absolutely fine in most pregnancies. It is only not recommended if the mother has very hight blood pressure, or other serious medical conditions.
funny thing happened to me whiles back I went into a store to buy some rolling papers. And the cashier said I was buying it to smoke weed while two other people were behind me. I said thats not our fucking business lady and for your information I roll my own tabacco cigeretts. This nutty lady goes into some irate speach and nancy ragen shit. Im like woo and asked to see the manager. This wasnt cool. And i did have my tabacco pouch on me and I say some shit like this lady causes a scene. Anyway long story short this happened to be a gas station and they gave me a $10.00 gas card for her hassle me . This was a while ago so 10 in gas was alot. Point is nest time speek to a mananger if your right to privacy are being violated by cashiers.
