I don't know if I want kids.. I think I do.. like a couple.. not more.. I'd like a boy and a girl.. but I don't know.. and don't know when.. I definitely feel like I need to grow up still.. I don't see myself as a mother, when I still need mine. And I need to enjoy my life without such a huge responsibility as kids.. for a few more years.. and I need to find the guy I'd like to have kids with.. like if I ever have kids.. it definitely won't be before a couple years from now.. if I do, I want them before 31-32 though.. one of them at least..

Well I don't know. I feel too young.

I used to really want kids at one point but in this really immature way like.. I wanted dolls to play with..

I was having the maternal itch and guess what? Got pregnant, while using protection.

We are nervous to be young parents and he has a financially stable job while I finish school and soon we are buying a house yet... I feel I am not ready. Nothing better then getting ready on the fly.

Also, hippychickmommy do it. Why not? I mean you are financially stable, have already had three! Just ask a doctor!

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say... there are a lot of children in this world, and our population keeps increasing and increasing... I want children, but I think I plan on having 2 (so we can avoid that single child syndrome), thereby not increasing the population after I die... if I want anything past that, I think I would look into adoption... so many unwanted kids.... and if Palin ever gets to make any laws, we'll have a hell of alot more...

But thats just my opinion... no judgement.

Weird, I sort of agree with the sentiment duckandmiss.

I think I may be odd. I always said wanted lotsa kids. Then reality hit , or money and time kids take hit.. hubby and I ended up agree on 2 or three kids
but, then we actually popped one out- and I do not want any more.
No baby fever. I seriously keep trying to talk him into vasectomy. I don't want to do the newborn thing again. I have no urge to do the pregnant thing again. diaper changes, labor, leaky boobs, stretch marks, no sleep,-no thanks.

I think it would be a better idea all around if we are ever in a position where we do decide we want another kid , we adopt...hell, maybe we can get one thats already potty trained. :p

Thats very noble of you, and unlike the hollywood adoption divas angelina jolie and madonna, your only agenda is the love and care of an unwanted child [IMG]

i kind of agree with the sentiment... and we'll see what happens once i have one... but the way i'm feeling, i think my favorite part will be the pregnancy and infancy. hard to adopt a pregnancy, lol!!!

I think we are far far far away from becoming like China...and look at the statistics today. americans hardly ever go past 4 children. Im not getting into different races cause we do have some sensitive people on this forum  but im just saying we have nothing to worry about the amount of children, you just gotta have plans and be finically set to have a big amount of kids. a lot of parents pop em out and let them run around, thats when the limit comes

OMAHA, Neb. - An out-of-work widower who abandoned nine of his children at a hospital under Nebraska’s new safe haven law said he was overwhelmed without his wife and just “fell apart.” “I hope they know I love them,” Gary Staton told KETV. “I hope their future is better without me around them.”

The unique law allows caregivers to abandon babies and teenagers alike at hospitals without fear of prosecution. Originally intended to protect infants, it was expanded in a legislative compromise to protect any “child.” Some have interpreted that to mean anyone under 19.

I never thought of myself as a parent, even though I've always been good with kids it never occurred to me that I'd want kids until I got pregnant.
It's weird. I find it amazing how much it's changed when at the same time, almost nothing has changed.

Brad and I have actually been talking about how many kids we'd want in the future.
I honestly would love to have a few more kids, growing up in a big family and all.
I'd probably go for adopting before I hit 5 kids, unless I end up with two sets of twins or something...eek.

I want more babies. But I've been sterilized.

So I'm going to foster-parenting classes.

I think you've missed the point. It's not that America is in danger of becoming like China. The fact is we all live on the same planet and use the planet's resources/etc.

Over-popualtion is not the problem of one country or another, it is truly a global concern.

As for secret-agent-amanda, good for you girl. :cheers2:

No babies for me! My womb is defected, but if I ever want a baby I can always look in gutters, I can get a baby anywhere, back of a van, in an alley, I can leave here now and in about 1 hour and 23 minutes and be back here with twins....

If you want to have another baby, have one...

If you are hankering the taste of babies undies, than steal a pregnant lady and start the harvest...
