anyway, I happened to walk by a TV unfortunately and I heard the news casters calling Barack and pronouncing his name the exact same way they say Iraq.

BarOCK (barack)

EROCK (iraq)

What the fuck is wrong with these people?

Why haven't I gone on a shooting rampage yet?

 

Isn't that the proper way to pronounce both, and what does the pronunciation of those words have to do with you shooting random people? Are you seriously threatening to harm people?

It is. Iraqiya in Arabic. When spoken in English it sounds like e-rock, with a slight roll on the r. Most Americans pronounce it I-rack. If Stalk thinks that is the only way to pronounce it, apparently "land" is only inside the continental US.
