Well, Today is the day i start the journey to dreads... i browsed on here and found the mainly used soap is Dr Bronner... Got some of that... That all i need to do is wash my hair with that and let my hair go and eventually ill have some amazing locks?
thanks everyone... you guys/gals all seem nice.

Pleaseeee make sure to dilute it
    1/16 is best.
I don't use Dr. Bronners anymore, even though it's rumored to be residue free, it's not.
It's all residue, and that's why it needs to be diluted.

Right now I clean my hair with baking soda, vinegar and salt water and it works great, it cut's oil and dirt, and it puts my hair in great condition to lock.

if your hairs oily dr b might need lil extras somethung to help adding baking soda would do it but some1 else just suggested thyme too
u may need t exeriment whith whats best for yoyr hair n scalp dr b works for most (whoever said its all residue must gave soft water)
i tend to change my routine based in the condition of the haitr that week i mught add stiff or not use dr b use baking soda sometimesthe baking soda made it too fizzy so id use dr b if dr i add vinagar experimenting will help u find whats right for u but foe mist dr b is a good start

    why not dilute.

its quite cost effective to dilute 1 to 12. 12 bottles of shampoo for 7 bucks.

Another question.... Im doing it the all natural way, just letting my hair growing into locks without backcombing or anything like that.... startin out how often should i wash my hair? just like i normally do until some knots start formin?
