so how many people on this forum think there needs to be a revolution as soon as possible???

because i think if we wait to much longer the world will be completely fucked over and the government will control us and moniter our every move. its time we organize ourselves make shit happen and scare the shit out of the government.. its needed sometime in the next 3 years

A revolution IS coming.. around 2012. if you look at whats going on and what's been going on in the world today everything is culminating, everything is coming together and at the same time falling apart. Shit's about to hit the fan.

Revolutions are the result of years, even decades, of hard and constant work. Sure, episodes like Seattle and Miami may look spontaneous, and they are to some extent, but for the most part they are only the end result of hundreds of people organizing, communicating, planning...
If you want to see a revolution than don't sit around waiting for action to spill out onto the streets. Get off your ass. Talk to people. Get active. Share ideas. We need communication, networks, and action. That means supporting or even launching bookstore/community spaces, organising demonstrations, teaching skills, and learning others. We need it all.
To paraphrase Ursula Leguin, you can't make a revolution, you can only be the revolution.
So start today! Learn (well) as many skills as you think are necessary possible. Talk to your friends. Get people thinking. Organise a folk concert at your house. Learn how to garden. Learn how to fight police. If you can, start planning smaller demonstrations and other types of actions in your community. We need it all.
I know life these days can be pretty tiring, with work, sleep, and other stuff taking up a lot of our time. But the more we do now, the more ready we will be when the opportunities for true revolution present themselves as they have many times in the past.
Live, breath, eat, and act like a revolutionary, and everything else will follow in time.
Power to all of us - we are the ones we have been waiting for!

and if you're worried about the gov. controlling us don't post stuff on the internet... that's the easiest way for them to see what you're doing... it's not like hacking is difficult

yes revolutions do take a while . but this one we have around 3 years to complete. some people think its gonna happen during 2012, so there just sitting around and waiting. my advice is get active and organize groups. then we will set a date and all meet up. and the next best thing we can do is go around and waking people up

Well if you're not worried about that, what do you say to a Platoon of Tanks, or a Apache helicopter raining hell down on the block where you and your fellow "insurgents" are holed up? How do you plan on shielding yourself from their Microwave based croud controll devices? You know, the ones the Cop's promised not to use at the DNC in Denver,,, or the Sonic devices that basicly override your brains synaptic controll over your muscles, most just make you crap your pants but thats not the limit of possible effects from them. How do you revolt against an entity when it uses long distance remote weaponry like the Predator UAV and its recently unveiled brother who's name I forget but clearly recall it's ability to deliver a much greater payload to it's target without ever putting a single Soldier in harms way??

Just curious. I so often hear of people talking about revolution but they rarely stop to think how much has changed in Military hardware since the revolutionary war.

And yes, there are those in the Service who are equally disgusted with things and about as ready to re-aim their guns at those who've been keeping them away from their families for the past 7 years, but just how big a percentage do you dare to guess that is?

I'm neither trying to encourage or discourage, just giving some food for thought.

On a side note, about the only viable alternative I've ever viewed as realisticly possible althou highly unlikely would be for the majority of the actual taxpaying citizens (Those who earn enough to not qualify for E.I.C. etc.) to institute a barter & trade system to replace currency, this would require greater than 60% of the taxpaying public to become self sufficient individuals, growing their own food, making their own goods and trading with one another. Thou this would not completely eliminate the need for currency as for it to work in a Peacefull manner, we the people would still need to sell goods or generate enough income to cover things like property taxes and then moreso enough to cover taxes on what little income had been made. It would in itself be a long process but in theory should be able to starve those greedy parasites out of our system.

But again, you show me a group of 10,000 people where 6,000 can agree on a course of action without getting sidetracked by whats on T.V. and I'll show you one hell of a Miracle.

And of course then as the Government would no longer have enough funding to do anything big, I'm sure the first cut's to be made would be in the area of Welfare so it would fall upon the "taxpayer class" to directly support and assist them as well. Mabey then we would see more of the old "Teach a man to Fish" ideology practiced for a change instead of just propping the underprivelaged upon a conditional crutch like the Federal government does.

Ok, I'm gonna try and sleep now, insomnia sucks, I tend to ramble when I'm tired... see, there I go....

well when somethings going on big enough for them to worry about then ill start sketchin about what i say on the net. and when 3/4 of the population is taking to the streets pissed off ready to take arms then its easy frrom there. we start raiding government storages and small bases eventualy get a few tanks and what we can. and we would have some powerful people on our side too.. ya im pretty tired and burning out so dont completely know how much sence im making. but you get the point

If you do ever get up the balls to do something like this, remind me to be on the opposite side.

Good luck getting 50% of the population to overthrow the government, 75% well dream on. People are sheeple from the indoctrination of the system and they only care about keeping it going and therefor themselves going. It will take a world war 3 before the masses wake up.

Besides the fact that it needs to change, WHAT does it need to change into? Without a plan for the future nobody will listen or care.
