like you even could. my iPod can cast lvl. 3 fireball and has double immunity against all mage based attacks.
I'm not saying that no-one should pay. There will always be the suckers who pay for mp3 downloads and such... and well, good for them. Like Zen said, I love records and the artwork and such associated with it... it's worth the money. Hell, a lot of people would just rather own the album than download it. I'm just taking advantage of the commodity of having it for free, and I shall continue to get all of my music for free. Artists make enough money as it is, and the freedom of shared music has allowed many underground bands to actually achieve success... success they could have never achieved if people actually had to pay for their material when they were just starting out... so on and so forth.
Well, I also like a lot of independent less well known musicians, and they don't make a lot from gigging I think. They need our support, and I happily give it to them.
my policy these days is to only pay for music that is too obscure for me to find for download. those are the artists who really need the money.
Yeah, that pretty much works. I try to buy some merch off bands I actually see live and such... But I sure as hell won't be payin' for a Beatles album or such.
I don't see the difference between paying for an mp3 and getting an album. It is the music that counts. I too like to have a nice sleeve, and all the artwork, but I also like being able to to store all my music on a little box that fits into my pocket. The convenience of clicking and instantly downloading new music as well from the comfort of my home is also very appealling.
Now I agree with that. If the artists are dead, or at least the talented ones from the band, I don't see why some record company should profit from simply being the copyright holders.
well in this case I agree. there are some (mostly czech and slovakian) bands I would be able to buy on CD (or pay for downloading) and to support them... because I don't know many american independent as I don't live there
I HATE the itunes program, it doesn't let me fuck around with songs I get from it in audacity. I only get songs from torrents now. I used to get them mostly from torrents with an occasional gift card from some relative that I would spend on itunes.
It's the latest iTunes gimmick that I've not yet tried, but seems to be popular with some people. I personally think it's a way for iTunes to see what pirate material you may have.
