Starting New.

Im starting tomorrow the natural way for dreads and im wanting to know which dr bronners product to get for washing my hair and im wating to know how many times a week to wash my hair ? Also if there is anything else i need to know please do ahead and tell me.

P.S. I was thinking about getting the classic liquid kind from Dr Bronners.

 

thats the 1 depending on the hair i use the teatree mostly dilute it good 12 times as much water as soap

 

oh and wash when u feel it..weekly is good for most

 

i have pretty straight hair but kinda long, curls out at the end. so which one should i order ?

 

ALo, I think tea tree smells nice, but peppermint is way awesome too! Get the big bottle and dilute it or don't, either way it lasts a long time because you should really only wash once a week for the first month. throw all your hair up in a wool hat. and i say wool because it makes your hair knottier somehow(myth?), but a hemp tam worked for me. Don't run your fingers through your hair when you wash, just lather the scalp and rinse.

That's my experience with clean natural dreads, but have you thought about backcombing? Where are you from ALo?

 

If you are going natural it doesnt matter how often you wash as there are no backcombed bits to fall out. Clean hair knotts faster than oily hair.

 

hey thnaks guys for your respones. i dont wanna do backcombing but i might backcomb like 2. i think im gonna get the tea tree kind.. im gonna order it today and get 8 oz. is that enough? also im from oklahoma..

 

also where can i get wool hats? or really any type of hats that will help.

just got some dr. bronners from the earth store and i was thinking should i maybe backcomb like 1 in just so i have some what of a dread at the begining? also is it okay if i wash my hari twice a week and and once i get out of the shower should i like rub my hair around with my hand or what should i do right when i get out of the shower ?

 

also the days i dont wash my hair can i get it at least wet by water?

 

when i started mine id just rub my head with my toiwel like usual but now i just kinds give ema good ol shake i can try either see whickh givesd better results
