How does one dry marijuana quickly without destroying all of the THC content? (Not a grower, here. Just curious)

Anything that absorbs moisture. Those little silica packets from pill bottles would work if you have a few. Also when I get slightly damp weed I put it in a paper bag which works wonders. If you break it up fine it will dry quicker too.
I think you can do it in a microwave as long as you don't heat it too much. Can somebody who remembers confirm that one?

Edit: One last thing. My mate just said that what he does is places it in a paper bag and puts it either in sun or on the top of his fridge (which is warm but not hot) With the sun make sure the paper bag cuts out the light as I believe It can damage it (Though why would that not happen while it grows... hmm)

I've done the microwave thing... basically wrap it up in a paper towl and nuke on low/med low for 10sec bursts. Is it awesome.. not really.. but it does work.

You'd be better served going the paper bag route.. they work very well.

Basically to dehydrate = introduce wet matter to 150F- 180F for a few hours:>)

I meant still inside the casing not broken up. Lol definitely don't open the silica packets.

silica is perfectly fine to use as long as the silica and weed don't touch during the drying process. When growers dry psychedelic mushrooms, most use silica gel in the final drying process. they place the mushrooms on a screen slightly above the silica gel. it should work the same for the marijuana

Put tinfoil over a pan and put the bud on the foil, place in the oven at 220 degrees for 10 minutes. If your oven is really powerful or gets much more hotter than it is supposed too, just lower the temp a bit.

sunlight is good for thc when the plant is alive but not when its dead direct sunlight will degrade thc on drying bud quickly.
Buds which are dried to quickly will have a poorer taste.
This is because it takes time for chemicals such as chlorophyll in the bud to break down which will result in a smoother, sweeter flavour.

hahah.. I put some semi-moist bud in this pretzel barrel, Since the pretzels are really dry in there I figured Id give it a shot.. And it actually worked..
Placed the buds on a screen just sitting on above the pretzels. :D
