Unfortunately, this happens to the best of us for no reason sometimes. In my case, my mom read my texts and she gave me the whole i dont wanna see you throw your life away talk and all that good stuff. Well, after resisting to quit and showing her numerous websites for the past week she finally gave in. All I did was get numerous articles from WebMd that showed how it was safe and all, she then told me its pretty much ok if I do it, as long as it is in moderation and I am not driving. Therefore, I can only drive to work or school and if I want to go anywhere else a friend has to take me, but i can still smoke whenever. So when in doubt, show your parents the truth because they will continue to bullshit you with lies until proven wrong. The End. Perserverance pays off. And I also didn't talk to my parents for the past week which could have been a factor too.
Congratulations. You're parents are open. Most aren't. My mom was raised in a pretty strict Catholic family. Being from the Milwaukee, WI area, drinking is socially acceptable at any age but drugs aren't. My dad was a little more rebellious in his teen years and understood the relative safety of marijuana but did not let me smoke while I lived at home because of legal consequences.

nope, not for me at least. i've showed my mom all the facts. my dad used to be a huge stoner. he stil sometimes smokes. but if they knew i was still smoking pot i would be fucked. just be glad you have a resonable mom
Man you are SO FUCKING LUCKY. my parents are such fuckin dicks about it, my dad always impresses people and says "the tetrahydracannabinol content in weed these days is so bloody strong if you smoke a joint a day you will be brain dead in no time". fuck him, he thinks he knows so much when really i know about 1000 times more about drugs than him. whats funny is that i smoke around 2 joints a day and im the smartest kid in all of my classes. i would show them this factual info, but if they dont care about the real info and want to stay close minded (which they probably would), then i woudl be completely fucked becuase then they know that i am smoking weed and i would never stop, and they would never let me do anything ever again till i move. My parents don't have a problem with the drug as much as they do the legality. They also think I'm suicidal from depression, so if I get busted I can always play that card if I need to : / "IF" I get busted by them, I'll try explaining facts and that the Ohio law only fines for amounts of weed less than 20 grams and it doesn't give a criminal record, so I'll try to persuade them. But they'll have to catch me first.

Same with my dad. except i cant have it with me or anything when i go to his house. My parents are divorced, but thats besides the point. My mom lets me toke up in the house cause she would rather me be in a safe enviorment than be out somewhere else smoking. And i didnt listen to the bullshit she tried to tell me, i fought it. It was a long up hill battle but i eventually won after months and months of fighting. Then come to fin out she even smokes bud once a month. lol
