December 21,2012=The end???Please share your opinions

If you are not familiar with the predictions for this date, look itup there is a lot of in formation.NASA has confirmed the presence of planet x.I have known about it for years, but for some reason, the thought that planet x is going to enter our atmosphere and cause severe consequences is only now causing me stress. I think it is a theory with a strong basis, but I dont see anyone getting ready. Will there be a fight to survive??

2012 has no real relevance. It's just a date that's been put out there to sell books. However, that doesn't mean that they won't make something coincide with that time period.

Pressed Rat, thanks for one of the only decent replies- that is a considerable fact.
Here are the considerable facts I have known;
The mayan calendar ends on that date, and NASA had evidence that the planet existed in 1940- so do your own homework dude who asked for a link.
Its heading toward our solar system, on a helix angle orbit with the sun, which it will come so close to when it passes it will engulf itself and heat up our atmosphere and boil our surface water in its passing. I also know of the Zachariah Stichins books that predict the beings from Nebula(planet x)are coming to enslave us and collect the gold we have harvested for them.
All this comes from credible sources, which is about the only thing that worries me.Are they all bloody insane? Or is it going to happen? I cant fathom it, can you??

I believe, that since we live in a universe composed of stars, that their movements can, and do, affect the way we act.

People are interpreting a calendar that they don't understand b/c they are not Mayan!

And also ask yourself this, since no one can come up with a logical answer to this question...

If the Mayans were able to predict the end of the world, then why couldn't they predict the end of their civilization?

 

They probably did.


Nothing is forever.

 

The predictions were based on calculation of time and the movement of the stars and so forth. They obviously could not predict the future but their predictions of other heavinly events were so precise that to this day they are still no more than 33 seconds of. Quite amazing for a civilization that's almost 2500 years old.

Their calendar ends on the 21st of December 2012. which oddly enough does very closely coincide with the orbital return of "planet x" also knows as Nibiru, which is not predicted to hit the planet but rather pass very closely which may or may not cause some very serious events here on earth including but not limited to tidals waves and earth quakes.

One other interesting fact is that the Mayans were not the only civilation to predict an event in that year. The Egyptians, Zulu, Hindu, Incas, Aztecs, Dogon (Africa), Cherokee, Pueblo, Tibetan's.. all have predicted events on the same calendar target year!

i think it was because they kept putting metal peices or something in the ground that destroyed there land
