putting myself out there, hoping to find employment and personal growth....

My name is Vanessa. I just moved to mid-Michigan from Traverse City, Michigan, leaving my jobs of five years (and friends) behind. I am looking for employment.

Currently, I am fixing up my mother's house so she can sell it. Life has been hard for her lately and I am happy to help. I am almost finished with this house and now look for employment, preferrably in a small family business.

My last jobs were: an organic/vegetarian restaurant/coffeehouse where I pretty much ran everything from customer care to cooking and concert facilitation; and (for the same bosses) made/sold/delivered organic hummus and other natural products. I loved it there and miss it terribly. I would love to find a small kitchen or coffeehouse to continue my journey in. I seek travelling kitchens as well. I am a good cook and seek to learn more recipes and opportunities to grow in that area of my life.

I am physically strong, outoing, hard-working, self-motivated, and am great with kids of all ages! I seek out to do more than just what is required of me, usually with a smile on my face. I am a voracious learner and seek to grow in all aspects of life. I am responsible and trustworthy. I am fun!
