I believe everyone has a song sober or trippin that is always guiding them in the right direction. What song is guiding you or what song has impacted your life for the good or maybe even bad. For me it's John Lennon: Imagine. It spreads a good concept. No religions. No nations. No capitalism. Just peace. When I'm trippin this song always keeps me calmed down and happy.
I can't pick just one.... This would be a pretty good playlist, though. All of these have had a huge impact on me. Do You Realize?? / Enthusiasm For Life Defeats Existential Fear - The Flaming Lips Life is Wonderful / I'm Yours - Jason Mraz If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out - Cat Stevens Parabola - Tool 3rd Planet / So Much Beauty in Dirt - Modest Mouse The Warmth - Incubus Don't Stop Me Now - Queen It Can't Come Quickly Enough - Scissor Sisters These songs remind me of how magical and beautiful and goddamn amazing life is, what it means to be alive, and that Love is all that's real. And my all-time Anthem is Eye Opener by Anabolic Frolic... but it might give some people seizures "Open your eyes, see all the love in me I've got enough forever Don't be afraid, take all you need from me And we'll be strong together"
A song that moves me...well, that'd have to be Lateralus by Tool... Black then white are all I see in my infancy. Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me. Lets me see. As below, so above and beyond, I imagine Drawn beyond the lines of reason. Push the envelope. watch it bend. Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines. Black then white are all I see in my infancy. Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me. Lets me see there is so much more and Beckons me to look thru to these infinite possibilities. As below, so above and beyond, I imagine Drawn outside the lines of reason. Push the envelope. watch it bend. Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind. Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line. Reaching out to embrace the random. Reaching out to embrace whatever may come. I embrace my desire to I embrace my desire to Feel the rhythm, to feel connected enough to step aside and weep like a widow To feel inspired to fathom the power, to witness the beauty, To bathe in the fountain, To swing on the spiral To swing on the spiral To swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human. With my feet upon the ground I move myeslf between the sounds and open wide to Suck it in. I feel it move across my skin. Im reaching up and reaching out. Im reaching for the random or what ever will Bewilder me. What ever will bewilder me. And following our will and wind we may just go where no ones been. Well ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no ones been. Spiral out. keep going. Spiral out. keep going. Spiral out. keep going. Spiral out. keep going. Spiral out. keep going.
Imagine is good.. Within you without you by george harrison is simply amazing. Plus its great when your high
I agree with Tool and the Flaming Lips. It all depends on where my trip is going at the time... if I start entering the divine or mystical I prefer trance music like Infected Mushroom or Paul Van Dyk. If it's going toward the more chaotic and insane, Pink Floyd is a definent winner here. If I'm going toward a more natural feel, nothing comes as close as the Doors.
the last few months it's definitely been scarlet begonias by the dead i ain't often right but i've never been wrong, seldom turns out the way it does in the song. once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right
the world at large is a beautiful song . so is ocean breathes salty. everything modest mouse has ever done is magical and trippy and deep.
When I'm sober it's definitely Cortez the Killer by Neil Young. When tripping is definitely anything by Pink Floyd, especially the albums Animals and Ummagumma.
No love for animal collective? my oh my ladies and gents. I highly suggest everyone download as much as possible, especially the albums Feels and Strawberry Jam and listen to it in the proper state of mind. And you can thank me in the morning.
