LaRouche is a little crazy. Although he has some good ideas, all his predictions are alarmist, etc.

I wish EIR was more widely available, though I have to read it with a big grain of salt.

And I'm sure his people don't make the magazine more easily available so they can maintain their cult status.

    Hippychickmommy, good post- [IMG]

Exactly....as soon as the American consumer can no longer consume and be made apathetic by distractions such as T.V., Movies (mainstream movies not nearly as "artistic" as they use to be), video games, malls etc...etc...then I could see something like that taking place, but not until then. Citizens of the U.S. have intentionally been made docile. For some reason the notion of a patriot here nowadays is someone that doesn't question the government and simply agrees with whatever policies they in act. People put more of an emphasis on labels than they do the reality of things too....just look at the "Patriot Act"...in reality it goes against the Bill of Rights and takes away our basic right to privacy, making it non-patriotic, however people look mainly at the label and what is supposedly for. The term terrorist is used just as loosely as the term communist was throughout the 80's and has ruined many "innocent" lives. So, not only have the Americans been made extremely docile, but VERY superficial as well. Success is viewed strictly as financial/material, we've even completely tainted a beautiful thing like love. "If you truly love someone you WILL buy them this, that and those."

So in my opinion, "Will there be violence?".....Maybe a little, but nothing major....not yet at least. I highly doubt it would ever get to a "revolution" of any magnitude too, but you never know.

The fact of the matter is, the people are completely dependent on the governments capital (money). So, until people begin to develop more self-sufficient living styles there's no hope for a revolution of any kind, and even less hope that it would ever be a success. (You see this is why superficiality is used as reigns over the people....its puts that much more of an emphasis on their false capital)

Lyndon is to the Presidential campaign what Larry was to the Three Stooges. You can do without him but it just wouldn't be as funny.

Libertarians don't realize how old and boring all the manufactured drama has become. The general public would take them more seriously if they just stuck to the ordinary anti federal government rhetoric and quit the mantra of alarmist propaganda.

Sorry HHB but things would have to get a lot worse before I’d join a revolution

As long as I can still fill-up my gas guzzling SUV with petrol, still have money to pay the bills and save for retirement, eat steak every night and fuck white women - I’m all set :cheers2:

I don't know. I'm pretty fucking pissed. This bill was ultimate proof that our government doesn't have the interests of the people in mind. And not just me, my parents are angry, my friends are furious.

    The rage is building.

When the government starts bailing out and taking over privately owned businesses that’s tantamount to communism

Look into the bill. It's the most upsetting thing that I've seen in American politics for a long time. No one wanted it. There was massive public outcry, and then after the original was rejected our benevolent senate(w/ McCain, Obama) filled the new one with pork and combined it with a completely unrelated tax bill to get it to pass.

Not to mention the plan resolves none of the problems, barely cuts CEO pay(only a million a month?!), the banks aren't obligated at all to pay us back. Extortion, blackmail, ransom: pass this bill immediately or your economy will burn. Notable economists(three nobel laureates?) have completely rejected the bill as short sited and not necessary.

Its worse than that. There are no provisions in it about what banks they help. ABout half the money will go to foreign banks:beatdeadhorse5:

Yet an even more ideal citizen....one who thinks what he is told rather than what he originates. I'm not trying to take anything away from your service in the military...but let's be honest that's the whole point...you obey orders, regardless of whether or not you agree with them. I wanted to join the army infantry for most my life....then I realized the mind is a beautiful thing.

Oh and you look like that one dude....what's his name, oh yea Will Smith.
