I know a lot of people on here like to be natural. Like no deoderant. But really, how much stink is too much? How many days of not showering until even you are like damn?
I sometimes ask my husband not to shower. He doesn't have a scent, which is a little disconcerting. But then he just smells like sweat and ass and I tell him to get in the tub lol.
I shower and use deodarant daily, I feel like a total slob if I don't. At the very most I'll go one day without showering, but that in itself is rare. If someone is comfortable with not doing those things, I say more power to them, but personally, it's not for me.
hahahahahahahahaha that sounds funny for some odd reason but hippies probably bathe alot i dont see why not if they like the earth then they whould probably especially like this thing called water you can get it from your local tap and water seems to get rid of lots of stuff like a drunken stooper you may have for example works for me or maybe there is an art towards water you have to understand
^^ F-that. I go longer than a day not showering and I start to smell like cat piss. I have secret deoderant stashes. In my car, my desk at work. I even started keeping shampoo in my desk because a bird shit on my head and I had to wash my hair with hand soap. I'm a little paranoid now.
You would get used to it. I would prefer somebody to clean their nethers though. I used to go for showers for days on end as a teenager but now I find I just don't feel refreshed unless I am clean.
I shower or bathe every day. I use deodorant though I don't really need it cause I don't sweat much at all. But yea, I'm not a hippy.
not until water is in short supply does one truly understand.. here water is indeed a luxury as much as it is a necessity.
Eh, it varies.. I tend to lose track (I'm not sure at the moment..) I'll probably have one tomorrow, because of work and all, but otherwise.. it's not a massive obsession. I have a shower when I think 'oh shit, ain't had a shower in a while'.
Same here. We have major water restrictions throughout most of the year. Still, its hard to feel guilty about having a bath when only 1% of the state's water is used for residential purposes.
if i'm not active - not going to the gym or not officiating a game or not running around the park with my nephew...then i can go 3-4 days before i tell myself i stink if i am active, then i have to shower daily.
we dont have state or govt water here at all. Our roof collects the rain water and runs into a cistern. When its dry we have to haul it. Its dry, no rain in going on two months , when our average rainfall is 70 inches a year
I usually shower every day. I like showering in the evening, but not so much right before I go to bed. So naturally, when I have to go straight from school to work and get home at 11:30pm - there is a 50% chance that I'll shower that night or just go to bed and shower in the morning. I'm not a real powder puff type.
I can't stand it when people are disrespected for not showering. Seriously, I know plenty of people that simply don't have the means to shower (I've been in the position myself many a time). Societies entire notion of "dirty" is soooo overrated, think about it...what matters more how you smell or who you are? Sometimes even when I do have the means to shower I won't....what's interesting about those times is that's usually when I'm most active to (walking all day etc...). Such a bullshit thing to judge someone by....I mean yes slothfulness (laziness to an extreme) is wrong, but showering has very little to do with this. Not to mention all the water that is "wasted" whilst showering.
