seaweed soap? anyone know anything about seaweed soap? i saw it while browsing a right before this posting it here. i chose the other one i found though, it says it has Patchoulli oil, B-Complex, Carotene Oils, and Aloe Vera Extracts, whacha think about this 2nd product too? thanks.
id hafta llok..the 1 u got though, sounds like it would be somewhat conditioning..u may wanna try it and see if its ok for everyday or save for an as needed type thing what kinda seaweed theres many many types and what else is in it..ive actualy never come accross any seaweed being used in a soap before so i have no clure at all altho..no matter how much processing it goes through i think u can never really get all the sea salyt outta sea weed so i'm guessing that would help promote knoittiness if theyre cheap get both try em out theyre soaps not shamppoos? bars?
its really cheap (a little over than a dollar each/converted). both are soaps as i browsed only in the soaps seaction. i bought the 2nd one and used it. it left no residue(or how may i know, at least what i know is, its squeaky clean). im thinking about buying the seaweed the next time i go to work (next weekdays) and give it a try. it says there however.. "Seaweed Soap/Reducing Soap". i guess its for dissolving fats directly to the applied area. haha. its says there though thats its 100% natural. if only i could have bronners somewhere here in the Philippines....
seaweed contains alot of iodine i take iodine supplements (kelp) to help my metabolism, i don't know what it does for the skin and hair though
iodine is great for healing cuts and abrasions. I dunno what it would do in the hair though. Let us know if you decide to try it
i know non iodized salt is recommebded for dreads so kindas thought iodozed was bad it would be good as a anyiceptic i believe i dunno..tough call in that..if it works it works i guess
I use a kelp/seaweed and olive oil soap every 3 weeks or so. Just to condition them naturally a little bit when they are getting too dry.. It seems to work wonders with my dreads, and scalp. Also I have read that seaweed/kelp strengthens the acual hair itself..
sometimes i wish i knew more about more natural ways of doing things, an example being this seaweed/kelp stuff, and different oils to use for what etc. im quite ignorant and i dont want to be =[
