1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

it seems i have an attraction to amythest, or maybe they have an attraction to me. i found a light colored amythest in a rock collection once and held onto it for a while. it was my special rock, u know. since then i have been bought 3 different amythest specimens as presents, one which i wear around my neck. what potentials does amythest have as aspiritual tool?

I feel the same about both moonstone and tiger's eye, I'm quite drawn to both of those, and carry both with me wherever I go. They're both mesmurising and have such a good energy about them, I'm always comforted with these around.

I'm not sure what the attributes are for quartz.... slipped my mind. But I'm sure that any crystal book in the new age section of library/book store will fill ya in!

In traditional magic amethyst is sacred to Saturn, just thought I'd throw that out at ya.

Helps with vices: drinking, smoking, overeating etc.
There is more to it, but I can't remember.

I love amethyst too (though I love all rocks and have always been teased about it lol!) I found that amethyst is good for protection and bringing out good vibes, I use one to meditate with, it makes me feel good. ;)

I also use amethyst to meditate. I combine it with clear quartz and citrine.
