Ok i have had my dreads for umm 9 days now and i dont know much about them as in how they should be at 9 days. But i need to ask a few questions that i hope some of you can answer for me. OK here it goes... Im not sure that i backcombed them tight enough but ino they are backcombed they dont come loose when i shake them they wont come out with a comb so that does show that there is some knots in there. But i wanted to know if they will lock if the backcombs arnt really tight if you know what i meen. Ill show you some pics. Ok and does anyone know of good shampoo i could use to wash with other then dh an kb shampoo? Just anything. O and i didnt use any wax thats a thmbs up And i just wana know what yu think of them are they ugly should i keep em those things. And you guys have an tips that would be great.
dude those are SICK!!!!! did you do them yourself? dont take those out!!!! also how long was your hair before you did them ?
they look pretty good. your backcombing is fine. it seems loose at first but the will not come out. it took mine like 2 months before they seems tight. i used netrogena residue free shampoo but it was expensive but i thought it was good for the first month. then i swiched to normal regular what ever my sister buys shampoo. its all the same after the first month. i would go back and kkeep using the residue free shampoo because m dreads in the middle had some weird stuff in it when i cut them off
Ok ty veroness. Umm well my hair wasnt much longer they prob got a just a lil shorter. I had some one section and i backcombed
your ends might seem like they arent locking so id try this. palm roll and knot them. that way you feel more secure.
Seem cool to me... From what ive read backcombing only helps the apperance of dreads and will take just aslong as going natural. So with time theyll tighten up whether you backcomb them loosely or not... looks pretty cool.. Mine are all natural an only acouple weeks old aswell, i got some forming but i didnt backcomb.
I think your hair looks fantabulous. I have a blog about my mishaps and with my current pics here. And you aren't joking about not using wax, that's a huge f'n thumbs up, ask me how I know I use Dr Bronner's (the liquid) but I buy it through Frontier (my sister runs a co-op) so it's close to half price. But even at full price if you follow the dilution directions it's well worth it :cheers2:
i never heard of backcombing when i started mine backcombing inlky gives u the illusion of control no matter what it comes down to neglect to actualy form real dreads post more picsin 3 weeks then 3 months
