what if an underage (17 year old) that is not a citizen of the US (is a permanent resident though) gets caught with weed?

Can they get deported?

is the fine tens of thousands of dollars instead of hundreds?

anything else that u know would happen i would appreciate

 

I don't know the answer to this but I would imagine it would only be a small fine but then again it depends on how much weed you have. Most of the time a cop will just take your weed away and say you are a bad boy. If you are really concerned I would suggest you consult a lawyer.

 

My friend got caught with weed in school and was in the same boat as you, he just got probation for awhile and he's still here. He said he COULD have got deported though, but his family had no bad records and it was a first offense or something like that.

I dont even have a Permanent residency card yet n I got caught too, never got deported tho jus got probation
