I'm inclined to say Alicante but I've spent way more time there than Valencia, so it wouldn't really be fair.
I was in Valencia for like a day.. then went outside the city to the American school.. so I didn't get to see much, but what I did get to see was ugly. Alicante is awsome though! Benidorm which is right by it is a very cool city too.
I've heard Valencia has lots.Or Seville? Dont know fuck all about Alicante. But Barcelona is good. Or Marbella if you wanna be shot , or gased and robbed while u sleep...: (
there isn't much in the way of Spanish culture there. it's where the English go to be around other English.
I haven't been to Alicante but I spent 6 weeks in Valencia this past summer. I had just an outrageous time - the beaches, the nightlife, the sites. I've never partied that hard in my life. My highlights: 1. Valencia CF Opening Season Game (although they only serve non-alcoholic beer) 2. Bullfights - holy hell insane 3. CLUBS - I saw heaps of clubs, partied well into the mornings, even attempted blow fueled Spanish karoke. Not pretty, but man, one for the books. Hee Hee. 4. The City of Arts and Sciences (Imax, Stellar Museum and Europes largest aquarium) 5. Shopping - lots of department stores with name brands (too rich for my blood) and markets for fans and shot glasses for your loved ones back home. 6. Architecture - oh so old and beautiful and then crazy new futuristic designs. Just beautiful 7. Holy Grail - pretty neat stuff there. 8. Beaches - nothing like suntanning topless I could go on but my dinner is ready. Ya - Valencia is off the hook. And if you're into racing Formula 1 is there now.
