I had an ex that had a very strong personality and wanted to control everything. That relationship had a lot of arguments and tension because I am pretty stubborn when t comes to being told what to do. I ended getting a job out of town and we are still friends. She has a new boyfriend and she has just crushed him. He has no say about anything and has to ask permission for everything. its actually a pretty common occurence but you don't see it because they don't act like it in public.
