Has anyone else seen the ozzy floyd? I went to see them at the Plymouth Pavillions two weeks ago, i thought they were absolutly amazing. Even Great Gig in the Sky was spot on, couldn't believe how good they sounded. It's probably as close to the real thing as you will get these days. The light and stage show were also amazing. Also saw James on the Monday at Colston Hall Bristol. It was a great week! Did anyone else go??
Saw them last year and yes, they were amazing. When I went to the show, I was thinking "ok, I am seeing a tribute band, no big deal" But once the music started, I was thinking, "This is a tribute band? Sounds damn close to the real thing." Then, about half way through the show, any thoughts of tribute bands were gone. I just enjoyed what was a fantastic show.
The Australian pink floyd are the best tribute band ever! I've seen them three years in a row at the Brighton centre. I love all the Aussie jokes they throw in. And the Bruce/Sheila thing never gets old
the bruce/sheila thing was very good! i had never seen them before until last month and i was completly blown away. i agree with u zillagod that it did seem much more than just a tribute band. they were completley amazing and the whole stage show was out of this world. glad there are some other fans here.
been in their show in israel few days ago, waited like 2 months to be in the concert. and it was amazing
I saw them when they came to Toronto last year at Massey Hall. MIND BLOWING!! I'd also seen Comfortably Numb a few weeks prior to them, so I was expecting them to be similar. They were good, but more of a bar band type of tribute... But Aussie Floyd....they like, KNEW how to imitate the band. I shut my eyes at one point, and almost believed I was listening to the album. And their setlist was great! First Set Speak To Me Breathe On The Run Time The Great Gig In The Sky (the woman they had nailed it spot on) Money Us And Them Any Colour You Like Brain Damage Eclipse Second Set Astronomy Domine (I couldn't believe I got to see it live...) Shine On You Crazy Diamond (I-V) Learning To Fly Pigs (Three Different Ones) Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun The Gunners Dream Nobody Home (they set it up like The Wall movie with the chair, TV and lamp...it was hilarious) Take It Back One Of These Days Wish You Were Here The Happiest Days Of Our Lives Another Brick In The Wall (Part II) Comfortably Numb Encore Hey You Run Like Hell Then, as we were getting up to leave, the lights went down again, and they played Dogs!!! :drool5: If you ever get the chance to see them, GO!!
There is a local band here called 'Dark Side of the Wall' that does the same thing. After a few minutes you forget that you're listening to a tribute band. They often play at the planetarium, where the laser show is freaking awesome!
Brit Floyd is just as good as the Aussie Floyd They both have nearly identical stage shows ( huge !! ) and, I think one of the guys from the Aussie Floyd is now with the Brits well worth the money ! ( There's no way I'd pay $250 to see Roger Waters even if I could afford it. )
