Flat ironing with just-started naturals?

    I stopped brushing my hair about 2 weeks ago and was wondering if it would do much harm if I straightened my hair (without brushing of course) for one day? My girlfriend wants me to do it one last time for her, but I dont want to slow down the dreading process too much

    Doesnt sound like the bestest of ideas man. Id stay clear of ironing your dreadies!

    Yeah, I would only imagine this would hinder the dread process.

    I dont even think a flat iron would work on knotted up hair... Im guessing itd just look like one flat mess.

    it'll definately set u back
    undo everuthing and make it harder to regain progress..but didnt u just bump the inspiration thread trying to convince her that dreads were cool and now shes trying to get u to go in the total opposiye direction

    its your choice ofcourse..but what next she'll have ya dressin the way she wants u to dress workin where she wants u to work livin the lifestule she wants u to live
    then who are you?

    Yeah man, I thought about that all last night and came to the conclusion that I'm doing this for me, not anyone else. She'll have to get used to it because I'm not changing it unless I want to.
