How do you tell if your plants are flowering?? In the V of the plant there are little leaves there. Is now the time to go to 12/12??? It would be great if I could find a veteran grow buddy to help me out sometimes. Anyone feeling charitable???
I'm no expert, but I do know that they won't start to bud until you put them on 12 hours! You can keep them on 18 hours indefinitely and they won't bud. Those little leaves you see will probably eventually be branches.
A plant may display some flowers before the grower starts it on 12 hour nights. Look carefully, IF there are already flowers present, they will probably be single and not clusters. A male will look like a small, oblong fruit, and a female will have two very thin white pistils sticking out of it. The older the plants are, the more likely they are to show early flowers.
geckopelli thank you so much for the information. That's what I've been looking for a good verbal explanation. After reading your post and looking at my plant I think it is branches
