How do you feel about shorting people?

Yesterday I picked up a half ounce of some mids from a guy I've known for over a year now and we are/were decent friends. When he handed me the bag I noticed it looked a little smaller than it should, but knowing that it had probably been bricked at one point or another, and it did feel heavier than it looked, I didn't question him about it.

Since he was my "friend" I asked him if I could use his scale to weigh out 5 grams for a friend of mine that asked me to sell him some. He was kind of reluctant to let me use the scale but he did let me weigh out 5 grams. It didn't take me but a few seconds to weigh it out because I eyeballed it perfectly, but throughout the whole weighing process, he was really jumpy.

Because I didn't want to start a fight and everything, I didn't ask to weigh out the whole half ounce, but I asked him "Are you sure this is a strait half ounce?" And he assured me it was but told me it was pretty dense so it just looks like less. I still didn't believe him but I said alright if you say so I trust you and left.

I called up another friend who is actually using my old scale to deal now and went and weighed it all out and sure enough it was 13 grams.

This really pisses me off that people do things like this. It is only a gram, but when you go to someone expecting to get what you pay for and they obviously know they are shorting you, it just is lame.

I'm not going to complain too much about the situation, because I sold enough of it within an hour to make my money back and still have weed left over (I didn't short anyone, mind you), plus it was only a gram... Still for a person I would have considered a friend to purposely short me just simply sucks.

It's just funny how I went to him to buy only because he told me he was dealing and since he was a friend I went to him so he could make some money AND HE KNEW THIS. I used to deal and I have connections to people including the guy he buys from, and I could have easily gone to the guy, gotten the same amount of weed-the EXACT same stuff he had for $5 less. But since I was buying so little and I felt I was helping out a friend, I bought from my friend.

I'm not going to get all pissed off and go beat the boy's face in, I just won't have anything to do with him ever again and if anyone asks about him I'll just tell them he shorts and they won't buy from him. It really just makes me mad that someone who isn't any taller than 5 foot 4 and would probably lose a fight to a ten year old thinks he can go around shorting people.

What do you guys think about people that short others?

Dude i totally know what you mean... a gram of weed is nothing when your selling a half O but the thought of them purposly weighing out 13 grams for you and not fourteen is just retarded... You only get far in the game by being honest

 

its only a gram, but dishonesty is dishonesty. dont bug him about it, but just bring it up next time you buy from him and ask for the missing gram casually

hmm.. thats kinda shady, but.. sometimes, when you buy bigger amts, scales measure differently. a bigger scale will be a gram or so different than smaller scales. When I buy quarter of half pounds, it is weighed right in front of me and will weigh what its supposed to. when I get home to break it up into oz and halves, it is a half gram to two gram short. no need to get bent outta shape over a gram. if he did it to be a dick is one thing, but sometimes shit happens. when I sell sometimes you get 29g sometimes you get 27.8g. its not an exact science.

 

I was shorted 3 grams on a half O by a guy I have known since grade 7....
Another time I was shorted a gram on a quarter by a different guy. I need to get another scale and I am going to tell them I am weighing it before I pay from now on.

I usually buy between a quarter and an ounce & I'm sure that even though the people I buy from are straight from me don't measure exact every time. It's kind of unaviodable to be exact. However, you're right if he purposefully shorted you a gram thats shitty.

 

i recently had a friend lie about the price of a half. she charged me at LEAST an extra 10 for it. and i think she pinched. i have no problem when ppl pinch a joint when they're finding me pot, but i wouldnt do it to someone. even if i did, id be honest about it, like "figured you owed me a joint"

 

man you had a scale right in front of you and you didn't scale it to check. sorry dude but you deserve to be robbed because of your stupidity.

 

If someone shorted me on a large bag, anything more than an eight i would KILL them. This can also be used on the "could you kill someone" thread.

 

I say just eat that one since you made the effort to be a good friend(had i have been your dealer i would have threw you the extra gram for that). Just don't let there be a next time.

How I feel about shorting a sack?
If you have my respect, you'll get an even bag. but if you're a douche, i have no problem makin money off you.

Yeah being shorted sucks, except I have moreso been on the giving end than receiving. I have only been shorted for small amounts not worth starting shit over really, but me and a bud did short this kids quad quite a bit. It was fluffy nug and being a sophomore in high school him having a scale might not be realistic, so we sold him a 5.48g quarter so we could in turn smoke for free. I felt kinda bad but it was good fluffy bud so w/e.
