    What the hell?

I am obviously skeptical. Parts of the message are edited for privacy reasons..

    Hello,
Would you be open to the idea of me renting the room at a lesser price while not living there?I can explain futher if you are interested.I currently live in ******** and work for a bank in ********.I've been working there for 5 years now and under FDIC regulation I cannot have any criminal record so I'm cool. You can reach me at ***-**** anytime today.

I think you should call him for further clarification, and for your own piece of mind [IMG]

He may simply be lacking communicative skills

I think it may be for storage purposes...

..However, it would be for things I could not check out I am sure.

However, it could work as I could still get a roomie too :) .

Right up until the moment an inordinately number of packages start to arrive addressed to your absent roommate, followed shortly by a knock on the door by the FBI who are tracking a group of thieves acquiring goods through stolen credit cards  and guess who's left holding the bag

Okay so his gf is on section 8 housing (or whatever it is called), he can't live there with her technically so he needs a place to "live".

So he will pay me 200 dollars so he can get notice from me in return so he can show that he lives at my place (I guess?)

I asked "why not just say you live with your parents" (they are down south.)

"why not move down the street and spend the night there a bunch of times"

she can only have so many nights per guest every month

But sill, why doesn't he get a place close by her and have her stay at his place and vuse versa? he wants to do this 25 miles away?

He would not live at my place physically.

It sounds like an easy 200 and I could still have a roomie for 300 (however it sounds to good to be true perhaps?)

    Just thinking things through here.

But I don't want to get involved with anyone and their own shit or get into some kind of negative spiral because I did not see this shit coming...

I also asked what he will do when I decide to move out in Mid December..."Look for someone else to do this with? have you done this before with other people?"

    Short story, "No" he said.

    Hmmmmm.....

    No joke!

All i could say at the end was "Uhh, so I could still have a roomie...Sounds interesting, lemme sleep on it and give me a call tomorrow."

    *Hang up*

It just sounds to good to be true and a little odd

Like I said, why does he not get a place a few block away from her and split the time between going there and having her go there?

Or say he lives with a friend in town or something?

Why 25 miles south of where he lives?

maybe take him out for a burrito and psychoanalyze him.

something sounds fishy. ask him if he'll be sending any packages there.

    haha, seriously...that could be it.

But if he has no keys what would be the point of sending packages?

And know I had a French super model request my place. I will fire that one up in due time so we can really laugh.

YES. if you have bad feelings about him. and not to mention the fact that its FUCKED UP that he wants to live 25 miles away from his gf, and not really live with you, you dont want to get into some kind of trouble. look for another roomate, i would say.
