My tolerance was getting waaaay too insanely high and I was smoking too much... not that it was affecting my life in a bad way but I couldn't even get high anymore. So I took a break for a week (that's usually all I need)... in the meantime I actually got more things done, exersized, and cleared out my system pretty well.
Now all I have to do is make it through work tonight, and the buds all mine!!!

I seriously think there is no such thing as a marijuana tolerance. Think about it, the first time you got high it blew your mind right? Well thats because you didn't know what to expect... The first 10 times were fun to you because it was new. After you know what to expect its not the same. I think if you want you "tolerance" to go down you have to completely forget what a weed high is like.

actually it is very possible. When I take breaks, the next time I smoke, I get much higher.

tolerance to marijuana occurs when the cannabinoid receptors in your brain receive an excessive supply of cannabinoids and your body tries to equalize this by temporarily shutting down cannabinoid receptors. thus with a break your body doesn't need to shut down the receptors and opens them up again.

with a high tollerance, studys have shown almost a 50% shutdown of cannabinoid receptors.
