Well it really depends a lot on your body and what exactly was in the pill and what the dosage was. I say smoked some weed and maybe a square or two (if you smoke) to chill you out. I'd say maybe an hour or two, but its hard to say cause i can sleep whenever i want on ecstacy, but like when i'm tripping it takes me a few hours after i come down.

EDIT: How was your first experience with ecstacy? :D

it was great. i ended up falling asleep around 2 so that sucked but it was definatly a fun experience. not something i could do all the time, but definatly worth it. what was weird was i only got 4 hours of sleep but i felt wide awake and fully energized the next day at school.

depending on the type of pill or powder it can take me up to 8 hours after to fall asleep. i smoked to try to get me tired but it made me feel like i was levitating and made the e lat longer IMO

Go have fun until you can sleep, regardless if you know or not you will still not be able to sleep until it starts to wear off so go enjoy yourself

I find that smoking weed just intensifies the effects of anything else, you'd be better off with something like valium to help you sleep.

Sounds like a pretty anti-climactic experience if you're that concerned about when you'll be able to get to sleep. Next time I'd make sure to do at least 125mgs of pure mdma on an empty stomach and your main concern will likely be "How do I stay awake long enough to write down all of these infinitely valuable insights about my life and relationships".
