Mixing tobacco with bud.

Does anybody do this? roll joints with both tobacco and weed in them.

and like how much weed to tobacco ratio do you use?

and does it get you more of a high? not cause of nicotine i mean people say it makes the weed burn slower so they get more hits, which gets you more high.

is that true???

 

I do. Nowadays I prefer to make about 4/5 of the joint weed then 1/5 tobacco at the end. This way you aren't wasting any when u toss the roach and you don't have to smoke it way down or anything. I've also rolled some joints half and half just mixing the tobacco and weed. It does burn slower but I don't think it gets you any higher...I don't like this way because of the taste. When I smoke a joint I want the full taste of weed in my mouth you know? The mixture just gives it a different taste...it seems to burn your throat a little more if you aren't a smoker.

 

From my experience it isn't worth it. I wouldn't dare sacrifice the delicious taste of my stash for a few extra burning minutes. Do yourself a solid...Go to your local cigar specialty shop ( Because buying them anywhere else and your chancing them being super stale ). Grab you some Strawberry Corona Dutchmasters and roll your dank up in that blanket. Slowest burning wraps i know of..and damn tasty. For even longer burning potential coat the outside of the first wrap with a thin layer of honey before you roll on the 2nd wrap. Some people coat the inside before they put their pot in but I've never had any 'clean' success with that. always ends up a mess.

 

it doesnt get you higher or any of the other wierd claims advocates of this practice claim.

if mixing plant matter to smoke, i prefer a combination of marijuana and crushed coca leaf to marijuana and tobacco

i usually only do this when i dont have enough to roll up a full j. ill just throw in a little sprinkle of tobacco to compensate.

I do that. Because I'm used to.
Joint burn slower, that's true but the main reason why it's supposed to get you "higher" is that THC "agglutinate" to the tar from tobacco.. so it goes and stays where it should be.. and for longer.
I think this is rather theoreticall issue.
If I had more weed in my stock, i'd probably smoke it without tobacco.. because as someone said, i would always prefer pure herb taste over mixture with tobacco that i don't smoke anyway.. But since that is not the case.. I do mix. It saves me a lot of money.

 

Loads of people do, especially in the UK and EU, it started when people only had hash and so needed the baccy to make it burn. Personally, i hate tobacco and never mix it by myself but if my friends roll a joint then i'm a smokin it.

 

I always roll with tobacco. Like fifty-fifty with weed. Why? It doesn't get you higher, it's just because I don't like to put all my weed in one joint and then be out of weed. And also because it burns better, tastes better (pure weed is sharper indeed) and I can smoke all evening or even two evenings of my weed.
I can't remember the last time (and one of the few) I smoked a pure weed joint. Very used to weedjoints with tobacco. Oh yes, especially with a little hash in it as well
But to everyone their own way, I suppose!

 

yeah man! i feel it increases my high, but i tend to smoke a ton of bud and then light up a couple cigs, not actually mix it.

 

for the most part i mix my herb with tobacco into my joints. i only smoke joints so its a smart way to conserve the goods, and it also allows the joint to burn smoother and slower. my mixes usually consist of 70% herb and 30% tobacco.

 

smoking a spliff(tobacco mixed with marijuana) is not any harsher than smoking a joint if you mix it with good tobacco... actually i find them quite pleasant.. they burn a lil slower and they burn even.. never worry about a run with a spliff

 

If I have tobacco I will always roll a spliff because for some reason whenever I smoke joints I end up wasting part of it because it won't burn right and will go out, but with tobacco it burns even from start to finish.

 

yeah, the only reason i really wanna know much about this is cause im considering it as a conservation method.

you think it'd be cool to mix it up? like put say .5 of a gram of bacco in the jay and likea bowls worth of bud mixed around in it evenly?

if i get a bowl ill just use that but until then sometimes im in a rush and shit and cant smoke a bowl and cig, plus people around so i mean if someone walks up, its just a rolled cig you know??

 

i do a 60% baccy 40% weed ratio in my spliffs. I use about half a marlboro's worth in one spliff. The tobacco really helps cause it makes the joint burn REALLY slow (i mean really slow) and nicotine rushes are nice.

 

I always try to avoid rolling with cigarette tobacco. Too crumbly.

 

I think spliffs (what you're talking about) are good when you've already been high once and you're starting to burn out cause the nicotine gives you that extra head rush right away and then once that's gone you're high again.

I do hate the taste though...

 

yea.. if you want to enjoy a good spliff NEVER EVER use prerolled cig tobacco(marlboro, camel, etc..).. buy yourself a pouch of bali shag(red pouch) or Drum and roll with that.. i always roll strictly tobacco in the roach of the spliff so not to waste any weed..
