I'm actually in the process of making a reasonable fascimile of a partisan, iron shodding and everything, but I have a guitar to finish first, as well as a table, some chairs, some boxes, a desk, a workbench, a VW rabbit, and a binary watch.....

Did you finish the stain glass project?

oh, not stained glass, etched glass, right now I am in the process of trying a solution that seems pretty novel, I'm trying to burn oil residue into the etched bits, since the waxy oily residue from the stain I used didn't stay on the unetched surface, but did on the etched surface, the etched bits got hotter, AND have silt-like residue, so, if it doesn't clean off too easily, I have a solution.

lots of ways, I do fine detail work with a rotary tool (a wecheer actually, it's like a dremel, but the one I have has held up much better than the three dremels I killed.... there was motor brush ingegstion involved twice, and a melted fused motor involved once)

there is also etching cream, which, is toxic as hell, has flourine in it, really good for large areas quickly, smear it on, sixty seconds later, all that you smeared is etched, if you would rather make patterns than do freehand like I do, the cream is the way to go, as you can mask up your glass really nicely, hell, just cover the whole thing with masking tape, and then exacto out the paattern you want, then smear on the cream, wait sixty seconds, rinse, voila....

I prefer freehand because it gives me more direct expression, more of me is in it, mistakes, failures, and triumphs.

for the most part, i don't either. either they fucking kick ASS, like my mom, her bff, my godmother, and a few others, they HATE HATE HATE my cheerfulness. middle aged men despise me with a passion, usually, too. especially if they're bitterly divorced. which is funny, since dave's friends are usually wanting to know if i have a friend or sister just like me. go figure. i'm great fun.

maybe they just think happy = ballbusting psychobitch money grubbing stupid whore from hell.
