I've done some online searches for scales and I can order one, but I'd rather go to a store and buy one. What type of stores should I look at to find a scale that has a .01 or a .1g accuracy? The most precise one I have found so far is 1g and that's at Target. I would like to stay away from Head Shops, because from what I've seen, they over charge for pretty much everything. If someone could tell me about what they might cost at a head shop just so I'll know because I know that would be the easiest way to get one, but I just think it will be overpriced. So yeah, basically what stores sell scales?
You can get a nice scale that works perfectly for 30+ depending how much you even want to spend. It's all about taking care of it.
i got a nice blade scale .1g accuracy 500g. big tray and everything i can weigh out about a half o on it. $25 at a head shop
try office depot or office max. Get a postal scale, im not sure how much they are, but if you get caught with it at least you can say something like "umm i mail alot of letters"
I got the one I have now at this sketchy corner store near my neighbor hood, but you wont find them there very often. The one before that was $25 at a head shop for .1g scale. It'd be nice to find one with .01 accuracy, but I think they're gonna be too expensive. Someone up above said to check a jewelry store, that would be cool if you got a jewl scale, they're prob real good. But honestly I have no idea what they'd cost. But in conclusion, I'd say check out the prices at your local headshops, if they've a .1g accuracy for 25 or 30 bucks i'd go for it, that's not a bad deal.
Ya I ended up getting a .1 for 28 at a headshop. Well actually it was more of a tobacco store but they did sell bowls and a couple of bongs. They had a hanging scale for $5 dollars and I almost got it but thought I might as well get the digital.
