most interesting would have to be the guy who said he was on vacation from a nepal search and rescue team and taking time to tour america.

he had all the gear, the credentials, the skills, had finances,we even went rock climbing together..

turns out he had never even left the country before, but he had done two separate life sentences for murder and somewhere in between the time i picked him up hitchhiking and the second time he came to visit possibly killed his sugar mammas girlfriend..

after he left the second time (by then we knew something was fishy with his story because when he came back to visit he stayed for like two months) the FBI's fleeing fugitive squad came a callin..

they contacted us again a yer later saying he was seen on the AT with eric robert rudolph ,and had we had anymore contact with him..

the most interesting part of this whole thing is that this all took place a decade or so ago and then last year we saw a article in countryside magazine about a log chicken coop and it was written by this very same guy..

and yes we are positive its him,the name is a one of a kind..

It was a pretty crazy trip..very memorable..my first ride was in a garbage truck..in the passenger seat..I got a ride going over the howard franklin bridge from Clearwater to Tampa then my next ride got me from around Tampa all the way to Monroe, Louisiana..the guy I rode with was wanted for attempted murder in Louisiana..he had picked up another hitchhiker along the way..when we got there he started freakin, drove into a field and just took off with the van still running, then about 10 minutes later his brother jumps in the van and takes us to a house, they give me and the other hitchhiker and some coffee and some food, then take us to the closest exit, .. the other hitchiker guy teaches me how to juggle to get rides faster..I end up getting about 15 rides total..nobody tried to kill me or have sex with me..everybody was pretty nice and hospitable.

i never picked up any hitch hikers

    but i do hike occasianally

i got picked up by this one guy that made me go sell some metal with him

got picked up by some people trying to sell me weed once

its very easy to walk out of this town because the natives always pick you up

but yet so very hard to go back to the town

    white people are paranoid

    no offense

Holy fuck, I am glad he didn't creep up on you in your sleep

    or explode the whole compound

I figure I must have met at least one person who has murdered over the course of my life

Creepy story, especially with the Eric Rudolph twist
