Any Lotus fans here? I saw them open for Phil at summerfest and they were fucking awesome! I had never even heard of them but before the show a few people were telling me they were an awesome electronic jam band. I had no idea what we were in for. The crowd was so pumped up I remember during a few songs the crowd was just jumping and dancing around. Anyone know who I'm talking about?
i love Lotus. I first caught them at WAKA 05. it was so much fun. We heard them playing late one night as we saw the heat lightening in the distance...we made are way into the tent for some good ol fashion groove. check out the remix album. its pretty dope.
lotus kicks....first saw them in 04 and they are one of the few bands that has actually gotten better over the years....although their new album that JUST came out (from what ive heard...which is only a few songs mind you...) isnt very good....verry poppy sounding. but like i said, ive only heard a few songs. whats the new one called? i just listened to a studio album yesterday and wasn't too stoked on it. i prefer them live. When i saw them at Sea of Dream in San Fran the night before NYE, they killed it! i never heard them play like that. it got dirty! (to me that is very good)...it was awesome!
