so last night i ate an 8th. they were particularly strong and was probably one of hte most intense trips of my life. around 1 1/2 hours after i ate them i started to get nauseas. this built quickly into a sharp pain. it was unbearable. i felt as if my intestines were being ripped apart. i got really cold and sweaty too. my vision wouldnt focus and i was convinced i was going to pass out and my friend would have to take me to the hospital. i had to hold myself back from yelling out. the pain also affected my thoughts. it gave me probably what i think was my first bad trip. i was getting severly depressed and was thinking about how i was a worthless piece of shit who cant do anything right and how i might as well just kill myself. then i figured i just have to let the mushrooms kill me. this went on for about an hour and then abruptly stopped and my trip became enjoyable again. anyone know what could have caused this? cause i still have another 8th and want to eat it, but i dont want that horrible experiance again. could it have been something i had eaten that day? or lack of eating? anyone else had this type of experience? any help would be appreciated
i have had this type of pain before, just not on mushrooms, just really randomly it will happen sometimes, but not in the intestines, it feels like more in teh upper part of my stomache. it feels like as my stomach was being ripped apart by forks. has this ever happened to you before, because maybe the mushrooms were moldy and you ate the mold which caused that, did you experience any diarreah or vomiting (i know you said you were nauseaus)
that day, i ate a dollar menu burger from mcdonalds around like 8 pm....thats it as far as i can remember
there you go! next time you eat mushrooms eat good food, not very much of it, or none at all (this is called fasting) I prefer to fast before I eat mushrooms because I don't like the stomach discomfort much. Also, make sure you chew them up or grind them up really good. this gives your stomach less to break down, and more to absorb. the mushrooms were like...wtf man, mcdonalds? and they kicked your ass for it.
i have to agree eat some real food, something natural like some fruits or vegitbales. I bet your body will like it alot more.
May not be the food you ate though. A lot of times mushrooms are harsh as hell when being digested. Could have been anything really. I always would fast or eat healthy food before eating them, even been vegetarian for a few years, and the majority of my trips have had me in pain, that's just how mushrooms are. Chew fresh ginger and make tea, is my advice.
I've eaten a shitload of fastfood before eating shrooms and while on shrooms, and I never noticed anything. I never got sick from shrooms either though.
i doubt fast food would cause this pain. yeah, fast food is unhealthy for you but just eating it once isnt gonna cause excrutiating pain. there was probably mold or something on the mushrooms from improper drying
would making tea with the shrooms lessen the nausea? and if so, can anyone send me a link on exact instructions to make it?
I think making tea is always easier on the stomach. It seems like it comes on stronger and lasts shorter....maybe depending on how quickly you drink the tea. Dry, crush/powder mushrooms. (The finer the better. Coffee grinder works well.) Steep in warm water for 15 minutes. Strain. Drink. Repeat with same mushrooms. There's a lot of discussion about how hot the water can be. People seem to be pretty successful with either just boiling or slightly cooled from boiling water. It's probably not a good idea to boil them though. I usually let it cool for a few minutes. I don't think it has to be that hot to extract it, and there's definitely some who think the potency will go down if the water is too hot. To help with taste, it's sometimes nice to add a fruity tea bag and some sweetener....if you like that kind of thing.
well, i dont have that luxery of makin tea right now so im just gonna eat them.....wish me luck my friends.......
