I am calling on people to boycott sainsbury's stores for the following reasons.

    1) You go to sainsbury's to shop, you are a customer, but their security people make it obvious they are following you. So then you cease to be a customer and become a suspect. Now why would any sane person give them a profit so they can treat you like shit?

    2) Their fruit is over priced crap that is unripe - they charge the price of ripened fruit but expect you to ripen it in the bowl by leaving it exposed to the sun for a week. Also their fruit is heavily layered with chemical bug sprays

    3) Their organic produce is putting you in this predicament:
Do you spend even more on their overpriced shit because filling yourself with organic cheese is actually no healthier than eating a pile of inorganic cheese.
Infact you'll get fatter from it. But also how can you trust them not to lie when every week at that checkout you get there and they rip you off.
Some of what was marked "Buy one get one free" is charged at the buy one get the second the same price and other stuff is marked down but they charge the same hoping you wont notice. The pull that stunt on enough customers = profit !!!

    4) the checkout staff can hardly speak English, and have an IQ near their shoe size, while the management are on some kind of mission to limit their bargains to the crap they would throw away the next day rather than any substantial inducement - I dont want 10 gallon of savoury dip even at half price.

    5) They are even more expensive than shopping at Marks and spencers

I shop at Sainsburys sometimes and have never had any of those problems. They have a good "free from" aisle that has some of the cereals I can eat, like Waitrose has, but its cheaper and the fruit and veg is better quality

Maybe the real reason to boycott would be to support our local shop keepers? Whom are being increasingly put out of business by greedy multinational companies that dominate every market and drop prices to such a low level smaller companies/shops are unable to compete. And whats the reference to not speaking English all about? What crap. Even if that was the case, what of it? Are they supposed to rely on no income until they're fluent?

The only thing that mildly irks me about shopping at Sainsburys is they label everything as being buy one get one free or whatever, but when its scanned through the checkout they charge full price, so you spend ages reading receipts and trying to claim your money back:toetap05:

This is fairly ridiculous. To be honest point number 1 is just a specific store, if it's not just you being overly paranoid (and believe me I'm not one to criticise healthy paranoia). The rest are just personal opinions that do not warrant calling a national boycott. In terms of activism through boycotting this is a non-issue, whereas companies such as Nestle have serious humanitarian concerns.

If you want to boycott any supermarket, boycott Tesco's. It is becoming a monopoly and that is dangerous if you know anything about market economics. Have a read for further information: http://www.tescopoly.org/

Lastly: "the checkout staff can hardly speak English" makes you sound like a member of UKIP.
