so, im hoping to get dreads within the next few weeks/month, and a question ocurred to me today. its been little chilly at nights here lately so ive been wearing hoodies more often, and the one thing that i hate about hoodies is that they make my hair go all staticey. and its really annoying when you have a foot and half of hair just wanting to static cling to like everything, so do dreads get staticey? im kinda thinking that they do, but theyre so thick and heavy that the static really doesnt have much, if any, noticable effect on them?
ive never niticed so its at least not noticable technicaly it must from what i rememer in hs science wool has ether a possitive or negative charge cotton and hair would have the opposite so ribbing wool against cotton ot haoir results in the electrons being exhanged and giving it a static charge i've always kinda wanred toi try touching a tessla coil to see if i ccould get my dreads to stand straihht yp but to answer yoiur question..it must get ststicy because the lawss orf nayure dont change but..you never notice it
that's probably the most original question asked here! I'd say that yes, dreads get static... but since they are heavier than normal hair they don't stand up. If I had a balloon right now i'd go check!
hahaha wouldnt u get shocked like no tomorrow? if u ever do it though, record it on film. that would be amazing to see dreads that are like 8 feet long stand straight up.
