I really need to escape my life and start over. I was wandering if anybody who knew New Zealand well enough to help me could. I need to figure out where to stay, and i need a job until I have neough money for my own place ( I will still keep the job tho). If you have any advice at all, please PM as soon as possible. I have alot of things that need to get done and knowing where I am headed would surely help things move along quicker. If you know of anybody who would like to let me live at thier house for two weeks, i would seriously do anything, be a nanny, laundry, clean up around the house, to being an office assistnat I mean i will do anything you need. Please, just let me know if you know anything. Also i woud like to attend college there, so if you know anything about that as well, i would deeply appreciate it. Thanks so much

Thanks for your responses, to address both of them at once the reason I was planning to go to New Zealand is the beauty, and also (i know this sounds kind of creepy) I have horrible nightmares all the time, but in each of them this strange figure always comes who clims to be able to save me and always takes me to New Zealand. I suppose I don't have to go there, but I definately feel like something is calling me to go there to find something. As far as planning and preperation go, I realize its going to take me a while, but I have a little while to spare. I want to finish my senior year in high school, so that I can have that to fall back on later. Also, I have to wait until I am 18, which is in june, in order for me to really have a shot of getting as far away as possible from here. So i have a few months time for planning. My biggest issue is money

Something you might not have considered is you'd have to apply for a work visa, or immigration may turn you back at the border

I just went to the immigration website and they have a working holiday thing for people from the US, where you can stay for up to 12 months and work, but the thing is you need NZ $4,200 to support yourself before they'll let you in, thats about US $2,500 I think

    heres the website

All the best with your endeavours. You could always look at backpacking and seasonal work around the country to get your bearings and find somewhere to settle.
